The Teletubbies - Ride a cock Horse

Plot[]

In Teletubbyland, over the hills, a Voice Trumpet rises and starts tuning up. It says, "Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross, to see a fine lady upon a white horse. With rings on her fingers and bells on her toes, she shall have music wherever she goes." Laa-Laa was walking along the hill until she heard the nursery rhyme. She ran to it hoping it would play again, but it doesn't. She starts to walk away until it starts tuning again. She starts to get ready for the nursery rhyme to begin. As it sings the nursery rhyme, Laa-Laa gallops like a horse from side to side. As the rhyme was over, Laa-Laa asks it to play it again. And it does, so she gets ready again. As Laa-Laa was galloping, Dipsy joined her during the rhyme, galloping along with her. And then they bumped into each other and fell down. They both got up and hugged each other. The Voice Trumpet starts to play again, so they got ready for it. As Laa-Laa and Dipsy were galloping, Po and Tinky-Winky joined them during the rhyme, galloping along with them. And they all bumped into each other and fell down. They all got up and had a big hug. The Teletubbies ask for it to play again. The Voice Trumpet plays the rhyme one more time. As the rhyme played, the Teletubbies all galloped together. And when it was over, the Teletubbies all fell down together. As they all got up, the Magic Windmill spins. And then they run off to watch the Tap Dancing Teddy Bear.

Trivia[]

  • In Nursery Rhymes, the Voice Trumpets making clock sounds replaces the Magical Event.
  • In a rare photograph, the production slate showed that the Ride a Cock Horse segment was filmed on 17 October 1996 and was directed by Vic Finch.
  • Footage from segment was later reused for The Sprout Diner episode, Teletubbies' Tubby Sunshine Toast, but there is new audio recordings, like 'Hungry! Hungry!'.
  • From the time the segment begins, to the point where all the Teletubbies fall down for the first time, it is daytime and the sky is a more pale blue. After the Baby Sun is shown, and the Teletubbies do the game one last time, the sky is a much darker blue. Either this was a filming error, or it's supposed to show the Teletubbies did this event for several hours.
